Onyx Geo is able to support clients in land transactions by conducting environmental due diligence assessments to identify potential liabilities related to the sale or aquisition of a site.

Onyx Geo has extensive experience in gas risk assessment. We can identify and quantify the risk of ground gas to a development site. 

This assessment considers the presence of natural and human-made ground gas, such as methane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen sulfide from sources for example landfill, infilled ponds and organic soils.

We are able to carry out a contaminated land risk assessment. This typically involves several key stages which we can undertake including preliminary risk assessment (PRA) together with generic and detailed quantitative risk assessments (GQRA and DQRA). 

Onyx Geo has practical knowledge and skills working with local authorities in determining sites under Part IIA and subsequently investigating and verifying the sites. 

If unacceptable risks are identified, we are able to carry out an options appraisal for sustainable remediation techniques.  Once a remediation strategy has been approved by a regulatory body, Onyx Geo will oversee its implementation, ensuring that the site is remediated effectively. After remediation, verification testing is conducted and a verification report compiled.
