I am a Chartered Water and Environment Manager, specialising in human health, controlled waters and ground gas risk assessments.
I have over 20 years experience working on development, infrastructure and local government projects both in the UK, Europe and Africa. My career started in Vietnam in the early 2000s assisting with baseline biodiversity and social economic surveys in national parks and nature reserves, following on to a role as a site chemist and project manager in Sudan running a 300 ha bio-remediation project. This led on to a UK based consultancy career with a wide breadth of experience and knowledge.
I am a chartered geologist with an MSci in Environmental Geology, MSc in Environmental Diagnostics and 20 years experience working within the site investigation and contaminated land industry.
My areas of expertise are human health and controlled water risk assessments, Part IIA contaminated land assessments, remediation strategies and overseeing their verification.
This has included deterministic fate and transport modelling of hydrocarbon contaminated groundwater within the chalk aquifer; asbestos risk assessment within a Part IIA scenario; and providing technical support for a local planning authority. I am responsible for ensuring Onyx Geo are up to date with all contaminated land legislation and guidance and for communicating change to staff members.
